William is a renowned amateur astronomer and birdwatcher with more than 25 years of experience. After growing up and graduating in the USA, he went back to his native Taiwan and founded William Optics in 1996 with the aim of making the finest astronomical instruments available to anybody. From an importer of astronomical products, William Optics quickly developed to be one of the most vibrant and exciting companies in the high-end market and the new hallmark of quality the short-tube refractor segment. William directs the Production & Design team personally and in his capacity of President lead the company’s management team.

On top of astronomy and bird watching, William enjoys golf, car racing and hiking with his family.

David runs the USA branch office and is responsible for the online shop and . His well-known public relations and sales skills helped William Optics establish a growing presence in the North American market, and together with his team he upholds the high level of individual customer service and support William Optics always strives to provide. David keeps the contacts with the North American sales network and with the local suppliers. He and his wife live in sunny California, and when not working, he enjoys music, fast cars and sports.
