Remarks:
This image shows the beautiful region surrounding Antares and the border of the constellations Sagittarius and Ophiuchus. Numerous emission, reflection and dark nebulae are demonstrated. :
The globular clusters M4 and NGC6144 are also seen. The Megrez 80 APO is the perfect small aperture, highly portable refractor for CCD imaging even with larger chip cameras! This image was chosen as Hotshot Image of the Month by BBC Sky at Night Magazine (UK), November 2005 issue. :
It was also selected by the highly popular web magazine Universe Today as Astrophoto of the Day September 28, 2005.
