After removing the binoculars from the box, I was impressed by the appearance and feel of the binoculars. Overall finish is excellent. Although they seem heavy at first, the binoculars proved to be a natural fit when raised to my eyes. There was no problem adjusting the individual eyepieces for a tack sharp focus. Although I usually wear glasses (very farsighted), I removed them when looking through the binocs for the first time. None of the shadowing so common to other binoculars with a lot of eye relief was apparent. Images were very bright and clear - much more so than my expensive brand X roof prisms. No chromatic aberration was visble at any time. Objects viewed were tack sharp from edge to edge.
The objective lens caps were a tiny bit loose, but I don't see it as a major problem.
The case provided was a nice plus. The clamshell approach works very well.
As luck would have it, the clouds moved in when the binoculars arrived - never fails.
I can hardly wait to use them under dark night skies!
I'd say William Optics has a clear winner. Well done gentlemen!
