(HOT ITEM) SWAN 33mm (2") Eyepiece by Timm Bottoni Date Added: Friday 22 June, 2007
(HOT ITEM) SWAN 33mm (2") Eyepiece The SWAN 33mm eyepiece is part of the WO economy priced eyepieces. While not sharp to the edge of my Megrez 80FD field of view, it does provide about 4.25 degrees of sky that is sharp out to 2/3 of the viewing circle. The build quality is excellent, like all WO products, and it serves my purposes well as a wide field low power finder eyepiece until I save up for a 28mm UWAN to go with my other UWANs. For the money it is a good value, and the tapered barrel ensures smooth insertion and removal in my 2" compression diagonal. Timm

UWAN 7mm Eyepiece by Timm Bottoni Date Added: Wednesday 18 April, 2007
UWAN 7mm Eyepiece The 7mm UWAN was my first UWAN purchase, and I have since gotten both the 16mm and 4mm models as well. All are excellent, and the 7mm UWAN is sharp to the edges in my WO Megrez 80FD. The twist up eyecup, and tappered barrel are wonderful features. The 7mm model does particularly well on globular clusters and open clusters showing details that are excellent in my combination. UWAN 4mm Eyepiece by Timm Bottoni Date Added: Wednesday 18 April, 2007
UWAN 4mm Eyepiece The 4mm UWAN, is as good of a product and value as the 7mm and 16mm UWANs that I own. I highly recommend it. Views are sharp to the edges in my WO Megrez 80FD, and the contrast and brightness is excellent. I have a full review on Astromart here http://www.astromart.com/articles/article.asp?article_-

(HOT ITEM) SWAN 40mm (2") Eyepiece by Robert Gibbonsmeyers Date Added: Monday 19 February, 2007
(HOT ITEM) SWAN 40mm (2") Eyepiece Comparison of 35mm Panoptic to Williams Optics 40mm 72 degree widefield. Physical comparisons: Televue 35mm Panoptic: Heavier than the Williams Optics 40mm, excellent machining on the eyepiece barrel, and sharp anodizing, well cut formed and fit rubber grip. The 2? end of the eyepiece seems to be stainless or chromed steel, perhaps accounting for part of the additional weight. According to the TV website the 35mm Pan has 6 optical elements in 4 groups. Coatings apparently of two types, both distinct green and magenta colorings both on and off axis, quality of coatings excellent. Rubber eyecup extends approximately ¼ inch very flexible and caps are well fitting. I prefer the fluorescent green lettering, which is done with great accuracy. Williams Optics 40MM: Excellent machining, the 2? end of the eyepiece seems to be an aluminum machining, also sharply anodized, and well machined on a par with the TV. Has dual rubber grip panels, both well cut and fitted. Slightly smaller..

2" 45 Deg. Erecting Prism by Carlos Pérez Date Added: Saturday 03 February, 2007
2" 45 Deg. Erecting Prism First, to ask for excuses for my limited English. I am Spanish and I it do not dominate too much good. When I decided to change of erecting prism of 1,25 " to 2 ", immediately I decided for WO 2? 45º erecting prism. The reasons for this decision, it is based that on having had a few ocular heavy (LVW) with almost 500 grs, needed a erecting prism robustly and of quality (bak 4). WO offered me this possibility. Besides, it had an adapter of 2 " to 1,25 " with what I did not need to acquire it separately. As for the functioning, to say that I am totally satisfied.. So much in terrestrial as astronomic use, chord works to its characteristics. Nothing of reflexes and estimates notable decrease of the luminosity. The inconvenient only one that I it see is that, due to its great size, with some telescopes and eyepieces, it will give problems of approach. Besides this disadvantage, I do not see any any more. It is in the line of the products WO (optical good and mechanical quality and excel..

2" Extender by Alan Leutloff Date Added: Saturday 03 February, 2007
2" Extender I purchased the 2" extender online from William Optics while my wife was out grocery shopping!! The craftmanship of this product is extraordinary and the compression ring provides a snug fit with my DSI-C. I attach my DSI-C to the the 2" Extender which is inserted into the WO 2" SCT adaptor which is attached to my WO 66 Petzval guidescope. I can't say enough about the quality of all the products I own from William Optics!!
